EPPA General Secretary John Manning was one of the speakers at the launch of the Cork County Board's new website on Friday 3 April 2009. The launch was performed by PPUI President Frank Smith (himself a Board Member of EPPA). Frank congratulated the Cork County Board on their excellent initiative and wished them well for the new season. Irish Strokeplay champion Frank Dineen and Cork County Board Chairman Dan Cronin also addressed the large attendance at the launch, which was held at the Montenotte Hotel, a generous sponsor of Pitch and Putt in Cork. The website was developed by Cork PRO Steven Enneguess in conjunction with PPUI PRO Padraig O'Shea and Anne Graham. It is generally accepted that modern day organised competitive Pitch and Putt started in Cork - at Fountainstown in 1939. The Cork County Board website will be well worth visiting.
