Ireland v. Catalonia 2010 |
GLENVILLE, IRELAND ANNOUNCED AS HOST VENUE.
Thirteen years after the historic quadrangular Pitch and Putt event, Glenville will again see top international action in 2010. The fifth challenge between Ireland and Catalonia will be played at the beautiful Dublin venue on 23 April, just before the Irish Open. Ireland lead the series by 3 matches to 1 but will be seeking revenge for their first reverse, which arrived in 2008 at Platja d'Aro.
Back in August 1997, Ireland beat Britain, Australia and Canada in the quadrangular international at Glenville. Glenville has also hosted many major Irish championships as well as the Pitch and Putt events in the Special Olympics World Summer Games 2003.
