Notes

Competition
Few open events are planned for 2006 which may explain why we have so many international players who have already expressed an interest in the event. Given the quality of the players who have already enlisted and the innovations planned by Christian Auzière, the event in La Grande Motte will be worth attending.

Flights
There are regular flights into Montpellier with Air France and K.L.M., and Ryanair has a daily flight from Stansted. A shared taxi from the airport is not too expensive and takes about 15 minutes. Last year, some visitors used other airports and then hired a car. There are low-cost flights from many places in Europe into Marseille, Nîmes, Girona (in Spain) and Carcassonne – all of which are within reasonable distance by motorway. In general, with low-cost airlines, the sooner you book, the cheaper the fare.

Accommodation
Hotel bookings should be made directly. We recommend our partner, "Novotel", which is on the golf course and is offering special rates for this competition :

  • 72 euros single room + breakfast
  • 86 euros double room + breakfast
  • 106 euros treble room + breakfast

To be eligible for these prices, guests must make it clear when they book that they are coming for the international Pitch & Putt competition"
